The short version

We collect what you give us when you contact us, plus anonymous usage statistics about how the site is used. We don’t sell any of it, we don’t run advertising, and we don’t share it except with the services named below that we use to run the site and respond to you. If you want anything we hold about you corrected or deleted, email hello@hyperchimp.com and we’ll do it.

When you send an inquiry or use the chat

The contact form and the chat bubble both ask for your name, email address, and a message. On the contact form you can also pick a service, a budget range, and the kind of organization you are writing for, and name that organization if you like. We store these in Visible Office, our own customer-communication software, which runs on servers we control in the United States. That record is how we reply to you and keep track of the conversation.

An inquiry from the contact form also notes the page you first arrived on, the site that sent you here (its address only, such as google.com), and any campaign tags in the link you followed. We use that to learn which pages and campaigns lead to real conversations. We do not record advertising click IDs or your IP address with an inquiry.

An AI assistant may write the first reply to a chat message or an inquiry. To do that, your message is sent to an AI model run by a third party (currently Google’s Gemini, accessed through OpenRouter). Your name and email travel with the request only when they are part of the message text. A person at HyperChimp reads every inquiry and follows up when the conversation is worth a real reply.

We aim to reply to inquiries within one business day. If the contact form can’t reach our system, it opens a pre-filled email in your own mail app instead; nothing is sent until you press send there.

The chat keeps a conversation ID and a session token in your browser’s local storage for 24 hours so a returning visitor can pick the conversation back up. It does not set cookies and does not track you across other sites.

When you run a free website checkup

The checkup page asks for a website address. We send that address to Google’s PageSpeed Insights service, which loads the site and reports on speed, accessibility, and search readiness. We keep the result in memory for ten minutes so a repeat check is fast, then it is gone. We don’t record who ran the check, and we don’t tie the address to you.

Usage statistics

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people visit and how they arrived. It records page views and two events: an inquiry that our system accepted, and the email fallback opening. Those events carry the service, budget range, and kind of organization you chose, and nothing else. Your name, email address, organization name, and message are never sent to Google Analytics.

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser (named _ga and _ga_…) that last up to two years and identify your browser, not you. Google describes its own handling of this data at How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can block these cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out browser add-on. The site works the same either way.

We don’t currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.

What the site itself stores

  • A light-or-dark theme preference in your browser’s local storage, only if you use the theme toggle.
  • The page you arrived on, the referring site’s address, and any campaign tags from the link you followed, in your browser’s session storage. It is used only if you send an inquiry and is cleared when you close the tab.
  • No cookies of our own, and no server access logs of individual visits.

Fonts are served from our own server, so viewing a page doesn’t contact a font provider.

Who else handles your information

  • Visible Office — our own product, where inquiries and chat conversations are stored.
  • OpenRouter and Google — the AI model that may draft a first reply to your message.
  • Google Analytics — anonymous usage statistics, as described above.
  • Google PageSpeed Insights — runs the free website checkup on the address you enter.
  • Microsoft 365 — hosts our email, so anything you send to hello@hyperchimp.com is stored there.

We don’t sell personal information, share it with data brokers, or use it for advertising. We would disclose information if the law required it.

How long we keep it

Inquiries and chat conversations stay in Visible Office so we can pick up where a conversation left off, including months later when a project comes back around. Email stays in our mailbox on the same basis. Ask and we’ll delete either one, unless we need it for an engagement that is still under way or for our own records of work we were paid for.

Your choices

  • Email hello@hyperchimp.com to see, correct, or delete what we hold about you. We’ll confirm within one business day and finish within two weeks.
  • Block analytics cookies or use Google’s opt-out add-on; the site works the same.
  • Clear your browser’s local storage for hyperchimp.com to remove the theme preference and any chat session.

This site is for adults and organizations. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13, and we’ll delete it if we learn we have.

Changes

When the site starts collecting something new, this page changes on the same day and the date at the top moves. If the change is significant, we’ll say so here rather than quietly rewriting the page.
